How the index is calculated
Each figure is the median monthly asking rent of the listings first posted on Roomly in that month, in that city, for that type, whether they are still listed or already taken.
A month is shown only when it has at least 5 such listings, so a single listing never sets a figure. Only complete months are counted. Nightly stays and properties for sale are left out. Prices are in the local currency.
The change compares the first and the last month with a figure in the table.
