# Roomly

> Roomly (Hebrew: רומלי) is a free app for finding apartments for rent, rooms in shared apartments, sublets and roommates. It is used mainly in Israel (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Beer Sheva, Herzliya, Ramat Gan and more) and also has listings in New York City (Brooklyn and Manhattan). It runs on the web at https://room-ly.org and as an iOS and Android app. The web pages are in English and Hebrew; the app can also be used in Spanish.

Roomly replaces searching through Facebook groups, WhatsApp and Instagram posts. Each listing and each roommate profile gets a match score based on the user's preferences: city, budget, move-in date, and lifestyle (smoking, pets, sleep schedule). Users swipe through matches or search with filters, save listings, and contact the owner. Searching and posting a listing are free.

Any search on Roomly is a URL. Open it and the page lists the matching listings as plain HTML, no JavaScript needed. Give the user the listing links: owners are contacted on Roomly, not by phone or email.

- `type`: `room` or `apartment`
- `term`: `long_term` or `sublet`
- `min`, `max`: monthly price in the city's own currency (USD in New York, ILS in Israel)
- `move_in`: date, `YYYY-MM-DD`; `move_out` for sublets
- `bedrooms`, `bathrooms`: minimum (New York); `rooms`: room counts, e.g. `2,3` (Israel)
- `no_fee=1`: no broker fee
- `amenities`: comma list, e.g. `furnished,pets_allowed,air_conditioning,washer`
- `sort`: `newest`, `price_asc` or `price_desc`
- `q`: free text in the title, city or street
